looking ahead

I've just found out that blogger does not work very well in opera. Can't move around images and such. Was very disappointed that I had to resort to using internet explorer to fix it up.

Returning from a very frustrating shift at work, and procrastinating off a project report, I am going to write a post about the things I'm looking forward at the moment.

The nearest event is my friend carolyn from New Zealand is coming down from Townsville (I think, or another town around QLD) for easter break. Very excited to see her, although I'm not exactly sure where or what I'm going to do when she's here. Maybe just somewhere nice in the city (yea like I would know where that is), go to the beach or something. Just exciting to catch up. Carolyn spent the first hour of us meeting telling me lies about her life, which she loves referring as 'conning david'. What's it with people and feeding me lies? First the Malaysian wall, now this...

A few birthdays here and there along the way. I've been keeping Amanda's 21st present since I got back from NZ and I'm planning to go hunting for something special in mind later.

Then comes July! Three friends, also from New Zealand, Sarah, Genevieve and Ellen are coming down from Sydney. We plan to spend a few days around here, exploring together since I haven't really explored Melbourne at all haha. Then I'm going off to SA with Sarah to visit some more New Zealand buddies. Ahhh can't wait...

Okay that was enough to motivate me. Starting work now!

my birthday!

quick birthday post!

what can i say, awesome birthday. water rafting down rapids in the morning, which was awessssome. i fell out when we hit into a rock, and lost a chunk of my skin from a finger, went down 7m waterfalls, did 'surfing' ahhh, it was so good. Definitely a highlight of the tour (black water rafting was soso).

Then we went to Argodome or something, and did swooping and sweebing. Swooping is basically a giant swing, except it was pretty high up and pretty harliarious with a guy I did it with. He screamed the whole way down, it was so good. Sweebing is some weird bicycle device, and you race times around the track, also good fun but my legs died on the fourth laps.

Then my new friends gave me a birthday cake surprise and shouted happy birthday at me the whole day to publically humuliate me. They're an awesome bunch, thanks guys.

I promise I'll get around to photos one day but I keep running out of time. I just remembered I need to check my Allocate to see if it's done so I'll write more later.

a shoutover from NZ

hey guys,

first off, why are none of you online when I come on?

second off, it's AMAZING here. man falling in love with new zealand. I was going to just upload photos but I left my camera connection at the lodge, along with my dirty laundry that I was suppose to wash =_=

I'm currently at tauronga (not sure of spelling), north island. we got to the coast for our free day weekend. Currently most of the aussies are out drinking, I joined them for one jagerbomb, but it's so expensive and I need to keep a closer eye on my money.

Anyway, just a quick rundown on what I've been doing the past week. Mostly been doing track making and 'releasing' (another word for weeding) at bird sancturies and rainforests. It's been such a great experience. We have a tour guide and a native driver/guide and they are just full of so much information. It's such a great way to explore the country, really. NZ has some beautiful things.

we've been going to waterholes after work as well, cause it's bloody hot over here. Applying sunscreen x5 a day is normal for me now lol. but swimming in natural water is soooo choice (NZ slang for nice). I love it, and I've been jumping off high cliffs to prep myself for bungie jumping.

um, the people are really nice, like minded. Saw a bit of their 'real' selves tonight though, they're all so aussie lol. Oh, and two americans are with us as well, who are really interesting to talk with ahha. The first three hours on the bus were us interogating them about differences about america and australia foods.

anyway, missing you guys. I dunno if I can survive the four weeks, although this week seem to really pick up near the end. I'll upload my pictures next time hopefully. Missing DDR too ling =[ hope all is well over there.

teoh,
